Currently I’m having a mini tripod, about 6 inches. I’m thinking of getting a big tripod like the Canon Deluxe Tripod 200 Camera Stand or Nikon 7074 Full-Size Camo Tripod.

Anyway, there are mini tripods which are versatile enough to be hooked or tied on to a branch. If you can’t guess which one it is, it is the Gorillapod from Joby.
